From lot development to institutional capital.

Matt has over 15 years of residential real estate development experience, during which time his team built and sold 1,700 single-family homes and developed 450 single-family lots.

Most recently he was the Vice President of Finance at New Growth Living, a build-for-rent developer, where he supported the closing of three large BFR communities through a programmatic joint venture with BlackRock to develop and build BFR projects nationwide, and contributed to capital raising, investor relations, financial modeling and analysis, and asset management.

Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Finance at Buffington Homes, one of the largest privately-held homebuilders in Austin, TX, where he led the finance and accounting departments, managed all aspects of debt and treasury, and was part of the executive team that guided the company to an eventual sale of ~$40 million.

Matt began his career at AHIFS, a facility services provider to Fortune 500 companies, where he focused on financial analysis and company strategy. Matt graduated from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin with an MBA and a bachelor's in finance, and he resides in Austin.
